The Golden Ritual: Why Beeswax is the Soul of Vivura
There's something deeply meditative about the candle-making process. From selecting the perfect block of natural wax to choosing scents that tell a story, every step is an act of intentional creation.
Our Process
At Vivura, each candle begins with beautiful, sweet-smelling, sustainably sourced local beeswax. It arrives as a solid block straight from the honey-making process, still carrying the essence of the hive. I hand-pour every candle in small batches right here in my workshop, ensuring consistent quality and that personal touch you can feel when you light the wick for the first time.
The atmospheric beauty of beeswax's golden, sun-like glow alone is worth its weight in gold; the subtle essential oil additions are simply an added bonus.
Breathe Pure: The Science of the Glow
Beyond its warmth, beeswax is one of nature’s most effective air purifiers. When burned, beeswax releases negative ions. These ions travel through the air and bind with toxins—like dust, pollen, and odors—causing them to drop to the ground.
While mass-produced candles can often clutter your indoor air with soot, a Vivura candle works to actively cleanse it. It’s a literal "breath of fresh air" for your home sanctuary.
Why Handcrafted Matters
Mass-produced candles often contain paraffin (a petroleum byproduct) and synthetic fragrances or additives. Our commitment to natural ingredients means a cleaner burn and a product you can feel good about bringing into your home.
Every candle that leaves our workshop carries a piece of our story—and we hope it becomes part of yours.
The Art of the Burn
To truly honor the life of your candle, I always recommend using a Candle Maintenance Kit.
The Wick Trimmer: Always trim the wick to about 6mm before lighting. This ensures the cleanest burn and helps maintain that beautiful, steady golden flame.
The Snuffer: This allows you to extinguish the flame without lingering smoke or hot wax splashes—leaving only the sweet, clean scent of honey and botanicals in your home.
The Wick Dipper: This is a wonderful tool to straighten your wick as the candle burns, ensuring an even wax melt pool and a longer-lasting candle.
I hope you enjoy re-charging your emotional batteries with a little bit of with quiet contemplation time & your favourite candle!
